Every artist has their humble beginnings and I think it is safe to say that most of them involved doodling in the pages of their school notebooks.
My name is Natalie Asport. I am a recent graduate of Full Sail University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Animation. I was born in New York, but later moved down south between Florida and Georgia. I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil and I never let go of it.
I love to create things and it is that passion that has always driven me. I started as a traditional artist, drawing in a sketchbook, painting mostly with acrylics, and sculpting with clay. When I went to Full Sail, it was the first time I seriously stepped into the digital realm. From then on, I worked my hardest to attain the skill level I have traditionally. I gather reference from the real world. I use programs like Maya, ZBrush, and Photoshop to create my digital work. I currently work as an intern at Legal Demonstrative Exhibits as a 3D modeler. I am also an intern at Full Sail as an online student assistant with teaching 3D foundations. In 2010, I attended Ringling College's PreCollege Perspective program where I took courses in graphic design, figure drawing, traditional sculpture, and Photoshop. In May 2012, a few of my art pieces were exhibited at the Orlando Museum of Art; "House" painting, "Dirty Harry" painting, and a sculpture of my own character. I want to share my art with everyone. There is still a long way to go, but I could never have gotten this far without the support of many. Some of the other hobbies of mine include playing guitar, writing songs, concept drawing, illustrating, scriptwriting, watching movies, to music, comic book reading, keeping up with current events, and of course playing with my dogs.
